Love My Landon

I feel like Landon has grown in to a boy over night. He used to be so crazy and run away from me the second I put him down. Now he listens and he talks to me. I love our conversations. He has become so smart and he asks me about everything. I try to listen to everything he tells me and I answer all of his questions. I don't find it annoying at all, in fact I find it fascinating how fast his little brain works. Kids learn so quickly and they pick up on EVERYTHING!

Landon has become completely obsessed with space shuttles and rockets. He knows the difference between a space shuttle and rocket - watch out if you call it by the wrong thing. He could seriously watch rocket launches for hours if I would let him. He always steals my phone and when I find him he is looking at images of space shuttles. He can even count down from 10. It is crazy how much he loves them and how much he knows about them. He will tell you all about astronauts and he builds Lego rockets all by himself. And they look amazing!

The things that come out of his mouth kill me. The other day he said to me "I love my bum. I love it!" I laughed for a long time. He thinks that he is the funniest person ever. When we show him videos of himself or turn the camera so he can see himself he laughs forever. He is awesome.

My gosh I love this kid. When I think about how fast he is growing up it makes me a little sad. But then I think about how awesome he is right now and I love it. Everyone told me that 2-3 were the worst years but my hardest (so far) has been 18 months - 2 1/2. I felt like he would never listen to me and that he just didn't care what I had to say at all. Now that I can reason with him and talk to him it has been a lot better. I can calm his tantrums down and I know what to say and do to not get him so upset. He really loves me and we have a very special bond.

He loves his sister too. It has been so funny to watch the two of them now that she is crawling around everywhere! Every time Lily falls asleep in the car he looks at her and screams "SURPRISE!!" We always have to tell him not to wake her but I laugh every time because it is so funny. He will sometimes act like he doesn't want her around and then when she goes down for a nap or to sleep at night he will instantly ask "where's baby?" He even has started sharing with her.....a little. He likes to take stuff from her for sure, but today he had a cracker and Lily dropped hers on the ground so he went over to her and gave her his and said "here you go baby". It was very sweet. My heart feels like it might burst sometimes when I look at them. I love every moment.

Being a mom has been harder than I ever thought it would be, but I feel like in the past few months I have learned to really embrace it. There are times where I think I might just scream at the top of my lungs to get my frustrations out but since that would scare the crap out of the kids I don't do that. Sure I can't go to the bathroom without both of them following me, I can't even get a sip of water without them wanting some too, I can't walk in the other room right now without Lily feeling like I may never come back again, and there are days where I don't get a shower until late at night but I love it. I truly love this amazing calling. I feel so blessed to be their mom. And I hear one crying so I will leave with this cute picture of Landon!

Summer is Already Over

Where did summer go? I can't believe we are just two weeks away from it being Fall! Landon starts preschool in just a few weeks (which is scaring the crap out of me). Let's recap the summer!

  • Car crash - that sucked
  • Bought a minivan
  • Bought a motorcycle
  • Josh finished his 3rd semester of school
  • Lily is now crawling
  • Landon has become scared of pools so we did splash pads (hopefully that fear is gone next summer
  • Landon and I had a great date to the rodeo - I think that is going to become a tradition
  • We went to the zoo, the dinosaur museum, the gardens at Thanksgiving Point, lots of parks, lots of trips to the canyon, lots of playing with cousins
  • Landon is potty trained (for the most part...... I will spare you the details)
  • We got a new wood flooring put in to the house
  • Brandon and Marissa came to visit
  • We celebrated five years of marriage
  • Josh turned 29
  • Lily got her 6 month pictures done and they are super cute - see!

I LOVE summer but I love Fall even more so I am super excited! I am excited for Landon to learn and make friends and to be told by other adults besides me and Josh to listen. Halloween is coming which means that all of the awesome holidays and my babies birthdays are coming! My mom is also coming to visit which is going to be a whole lot of fun. We are also going to take a trip to Disneyland! Landon is going to have the time of his life. I can't wait to see his face when we walk through the gates and he sees the castle for the first time. Have I mentioned I absolutely LOVE Fall!!!! I definitely need to blog more!

5 years

Josh and I celebrated our 5th wedding anniversary last week. What a crazy 5 years! I want to recap:

~ 2 babies
~ 1 basement apartment
~ 1 house
~ LOTS of cars (I think 8)
~ 1 motorcycle
~ 6 jobs (might be more)
~ became a stay at home mom
~ 1 case of kidney cancer
~ 1 terrible car accident
~ lots of pounds put on (but coming off!!!)
~ 2 half marathons
~ soooooo many amazing memories - too many to count

I can't believe it has been 5 years but at the same time it feels like we have been together for so much more than 5 years. I love this man so much. He keeps me grounded and stable. He is so funny and so sweet. He is a great listener, gives me the best advice, but at the same time he knows when to just listen and to say nothing. He is the best father to our babies, they love him so much. We have so much in common and at the same time we are total opposites. I love him. I. LOVE. HIM. I am excited for our future. We are going to have an amazing future. Happy 5 years my love!

RIP Honda Element

I keep letting too much time pass in between my blog posts. I was actually on updating Sister Rebecca Knell's blog and I thought I should update mine.

Last week, on Tuesday June 4th, I was in a very serious car accident with my two babies. We were going to a friends house for dinner and I was getting on the freeway at about 5:00 pm when a car cut me off. The car hit it's brakes and then swerved in to my lane, right after I had just moved lanes, and I jerked my wheel to the left to try to avoid them and I lost control of the car and spun out over 5 lanes of traffic. I was hit twice, once in the front and once in the back. Some how we were ok and we were not injured. It was scary. My neck was hurting and the babies were screaming. However, there were amazing people that came to help us. There was a nurse, an EMT, a retired EMT, and an off duty police officer. Josh was at school so the nurse sent him a text from my phone - which scared the crap out of him.

Our car was totaled. I am impressed with how well it actually held up though. I have never felt the fear that I felt last week. I thought for a split second I was going to die and my babies were going to die. I thought about Josh and how he was going to lose his family. But when the car stopped and we were alive and the kids seemed to be ok I just cried. I don't know if I cried because of how scary it was, the fact that I totaled the car, or because we were still alive - but I cried a lot.

The next day Landon started throwing up and wouldn't stop. We called his doctor and they told us because of the accident it could be a late brain bleed so we needed to take him to the ER. We did and the ER doctor was so great. He wanted to give Landon a CT scan but then he stopped and said "I just asked myself if this was my kid what would I want. I would want the vomiting under control and then watch him." So that is what we did. He told us later he didn't want to expose Landon's brain to radiation. Then he told Josh "thank you for trusting me."

It was terrible to see my little Landon limp in Josh's arms and not know what was wrong. That was one of the hardest moments for me as a mom. It was such a devastating week. But it is over now. Josh was able to take the two days after off from work and we spent it together as a family. It was so nice to just love each other and be a family. I know, without a doubt, that we were being watched over by angels. I really do know that it wasn't my time or Landon's or Lily's time to go. I love my family so much. I love my husband and my babies. I'm so grateful for that car. I really think that car saved our lives. I am still having a hard time sleeping but I am getting over what happened. Here is a little glimpse of the wreckage.

You are doing a good job

I had a lot of friends tell me "going from 1 to 2 kids is easier than going from 0 to 1." I think that they were all just being nice to me so that I would have another kid. I am struggling a little. It has been 6 weeks since Lily was born. I am doing better than I was when I first had her but 2 kids is still tough. Landon has started to show his love towards his sister, which is wonderful. However, I feel like I spend a lot of my day making sure he doesn't smother her, poke her in the eye, stick toy cars in her mouth, or jump on her. He LOVES to "help" her swing by pushing it really hard. It is so sweet though to see him with her. He has also learned that when I am feeding the baby I am immobile so it is the perfect time to get in to mischief. I have found him sitting on the counter in the kitchen eating candy, going through the trash can looking for treasure, taking DVDs out of the case. I always think about friends with 4 or 5 kids and wonder "what the heck were you thinking?!?!" I know that as he gets older he will be able to play with his siblings and it won't be this crazy but right now it feels pretty insane.

A couple of days ago I was at Walmart and Lily started crying which made Landon start to whine a little so I was trying to be quick at the self check out to get us out of the store. This cute little grandma came up to me and said "You are doing a good job mom. I know they don't seem cute when they are crying because they are yours but enjoy this time because it goes by so fast." It was nice to have some one tell me "you are doing a good job." I think that the hardest part of quitting my job has been that I no longer have any validation that I am "doing a good job." Josh can say it to me all day but he has to :) To have another person say it has a bigger impact on me. Because this is a job. Being a stay at home mom is a job.

My goodness I love these kids. Of course there are days where I want to scream but most days they are amazing. Time has gone by so fast already! I can't believe Landon is two. Check out my beautiful babes.

A year has passed! (almost)

Wow I can't believe almost an entire year has gone by. Well let me recap the past year. Got pregnant, turned 30, ran another half marathon (while pregnant), Josh started his master program at the U, went to California to visit the Cooks, Landon turned 2, celebrated the holidays, had a baby... yup that pretty much sums it up!

Lily Helen Knell was born on January 9, 2013. She weighed 7 lbs 10 oz and was 19 inches long. She was (and is) perfect. I had a pretty crazy pregnancy though. I ended up having food poisoning, pneumonia, strep, and the flu. Plus I had terrible morning sickness just about every day. It was pretty crazy but I guess it could have been much worse. Then after she was born I ended up with a uterine infection, an inflamed bladder, and the cartilage around my right rib cage was inflamed which made it hurt to breathe with every single breath. Needless to say I am happy that she is here.

Here we are (don't mind my puffy face)

Landon has had a hard time with the new baby but he is adjusting. I just can't leave the two of them alone together...... It is a lot more work having two then one but it is fun. Landon is in the crazy age of exploring and touching everything and throwing tantrums when he doesn't get what he wants. I pretty much pray for patience every single day. But he is so sweet and turning in to such a handsome boy. He has such a funny personality. He is OBSESSED with airplanes. He always has one in his hand and he can spot them in the sky from any distance.

We are doing great! Josh hasn't had a relapse with his cancer, he will be tested again in about a month. We are hoping for a calm 2013 -no cancer, no quitting jobs, no getting pregnant (I would die if that happened).

Hopefully I will blog more this year too : )

Boys will be boys

This past Sunday we were at church. Going to church has become one of the hardest tasks because our 17 month old can not sit still and wants to run up and down the aisles. Josh took him out, then I took him out, and then Josh took him out again. I was enjoying a great talk and the lights were dim where we were sitting all the way in the back. Josh came in and said we have to go and then I saw Landon with blood dripping down his forehead. I practically yelled "what happened!!!" We rushed out of the church building and Josh told me that Landon was outside and took a head dive in to the brick that is outside the church building. Josh was upset because he thought it was his fault but Landon has a huge head so I blame gravity. Well this is what it looked like when we got home.

It looked deep from the very beginning but we thought it wasn't THAT deep so we did the "smart" thing and dabbed it with hydrogen peroxide and then put neosporin on it and a big bandage. Well when the blood started to pool in the badge we knew that we needed to bring him in to the urgent care. So off we went with him looking like this (at least he was happy at this point)

When we got to the urgent care there was a long line but they say the blood and let us go back quickly. We were schooled by a very nice nurse about how we should never use hydrogen peroxide (whoops!). And then she wrapped his head and put numbing cream on his cut because she said he would probably need stitches. So then he looked like this

Oh my poor baby. Well the doctor said that he would glue his cut instead of stitches which was great but they needed to clean out the cut first. So they wrapped him in a blanket so he couldn't use his arms and the nurse held his head and Josh had to hold him down, and basically I help his legs and cried. Landon has never even thrown up before so this was very traumatic for me. But the doctor was awesome and was calm the whole time. Now Landon will have a little scar on his forehead. But now he just looks like this.

r

And yes I made him cookies to heal his little heart. Well and to make him love me some more again. Needless to say it was a very sad day but this is just the beginning of raising a boy right?

Belly buttons are pretty fascinating

If you have seen Landon lately he was probably lifting up his shirt to give you a little peep show. He has discovered that he has a belly button so he has been showing everybody. It's pretty funny because he has such a pot belly, so when he looks down he can't always see his belly button so he has to lift his gut to find it. Feast your eyes on this little tank.

He has been doing some funny things lately. He has learned to pull me to the things he wants and then grunts and points at what he wants. He loves dogs. He thinks its great when they lick his face. But he seriously hates baths right now. I don't know what happened but he SCREAMS when we put him in. He is getting better though. But he loves books which I absolutely love. It has been a lot of fun. I have been a stay at home mom now for 3 weeks. I am getting better at it! I just need to find more things to write about in my blog than Landon : )

Stay at home momma!

My life consists of making forts, reading a dozen books a day, finding Landon's belly button, going to the park every day, lots of tickling and laughing, lots of crying and grumpy faces, hearing new words and phrases, getting my first kisses from Landon, A LOT of laundry and dishes. I am a stay at home mom now! It is the hardest and most rewarding thing I have ever had the opportunity to do. He is so much fun and so crazy all at the same time!

But let me be honest, I feel like I have NO idea what I am doing. He probably watches way too many cartoons a day and I don't have enough activities planned for him each day but I know he loves it. I can tell that he is happier being home than he has ever been. He sleeps so great and he is eating so well.

We did get to go to the zoo last week and Landon absolutely loved it. He was pointing at everything and he thought the exotic birds and monkeys were awesome. But out of everything at the zoo he loved the carousel the best!

Josh is doing amazing too! We have taken on a whole foods diet, it is pretty amazing. We basically aren't eating any meat or any animal products and nothing processed, fried, added sugar, or refined flour. Yeah, the hardest thing ever but we feel really good. I totally break down every now and then and eat something bad but for the most part it is fruit, veggies, legumes, and whole grains for us! Josh has lost a TON of weight and mine is slowly coming off. But we feel awesome which is great and in turn Landon is eating more fruits and veggies.

Life is great! We are happy and healthier then we have ever been!

Moving On

Things are getting better with Josh every day. We went to the doctor last week and found out that his tumor was stage 3 cancer and we caught it before it went to stage 4. We also found out that the cancer didn't spread anywhere!! Yay!!! He will need to go in every 3 months for the next year for a CT scan and then every year after that. It is so amazing and now he just needs to recover.

It has been so nice to see him up and around the house. I can feel it getting back to the way it used to be. He gets tired pretty quickly but his spirits are up, he looks great, and he doesn't have any cancer in his body anymore!!

I am doing ok. It has only been two weeks and it feels like two months has passed. I am tired. I feel it catching up to me. The good news is we were able to get on Josh's insurance so I gave a two week notice and I am done working on April 6th. I am so excited to be a full time mom and get our home back in order.

I also decided that I want to run the Utah Valley Half Marathon and I want to raise money for cancer research. So I am running in honor of my husband in order to raise money for the Huntsman Cancer Foundation. Josh named our team. It is "Beards vs. Cancer." I love it! If you want to donate you can do so and I would love it!! Just click here!!

We feel the prayers still and we need them. Faith has carried us through this. Where would we be without faith? Without knowing that there is more for us then the trial at hand? I know without a doubt that without faith we would have never made it through this.

Cancer Sucks

If some one told you that your husband had cancer, how would you imagine you would react? When I think about it even now I play a movie out in my head where I fall to the ground and cry. But that is not what happened to me at all. I think that my reaction has surprised me more than many other things that have happened through out this trial. When they told us Josh had cancer my brain instantly went to "do not cry, be strong for him." After that reaction everything that went through my mind was "do not ______ be strong for him. Of course there have been times where I have let it all out, but most of those times were when I was alone.

The Friday before Josh's surgery he needed to get some blood work and an x-ray of his chest done. While waiting in the lobby for the x-ray there was a husband and wife sitting next to us and he had a button on his lapel that said "cancer sucks." I pointed it out to Josh and then Josh struck up a conversation with the man. Josh told him how he was just diagnosed that week. The man told Josh that he was diagnosed with lung cancer about a year ago but there was no way to rid his body of cancer. My heart ached in that moment. They called Josh's name and he went in to get his x-ray. The man's wife had one of those wrist bands on that said "cure cancer." I told her that I needed to get one of those. After a few minutes of small talk she told me to be strong for my husband because that is the best we as wives, can do.

It was at this time I realized I had become part of a club. I was the wife of a man with cancer. I was a member of the worst club ever but there are other women out there going through this. There are women that have been going through this for years and others like me who are just joining. I hadn't thought about myself at all through this but in this moment I could feel what this woman was going through and realized I am going through that too. I love Josh so much and I could not imagine my world with out him at the center of it. I looked at this woman whose husband just told us there is no cure for his cancer and it was the first time I started to tear up. Cancer. It seriously sucks.

I have thought about wallowing and pitying Josh and myself but I am not going to do that. There are things I am grateful for from experiencing this trial. I am so grateful that Landon is too young to realize what is going on. I am so happy he does not have to see his father going through this and understand the seriousness of it. He is just happy little Landon and his spirit is bringing the happiness we need in our home right now. He is such a joy and I know he is just so excited to have his dad pick him up and play with him again.

I am so grateful for all of the amazing people in our lives that have called to talk to Josh, emailed and facebooked kind words to him, sent cards, and came to visit. I am especially grateful for the wonderful friends and family that have made us meals because my family would be starving right now with out that help. There is so much love around us and that his really uplifted us.

I am grateful for my mom. She came here from Connecticut to be here for Landon so I could be there for Josh. Every single day that has gone by I have thought to myself "I could have never gotten through today without my mom." She has been the biggest blessing to us. It has been very humbling to be served by her.

More than anything I am grateful for my love and belief in the Lord. The power of prayer is real. God must have heard hundreds of prayers from so many people about Josh. And he answered every one of them. This has been a huge testimony builder for me. I love that I have a knowledge of the gospel.

The thought has never crossed my mind that I would lose Josh. I have always known that we would overcome this but I didn't know what to expect from the journey. I was unsure about what the treatment and recovery would bring. But this has brought us so much closer than I ever thought was possible. I love him. My gosh I love him.

I am grateful to be a member of this club because it has made me realize the beauty that life brings. Cancer sucks but life is wonderful. The little things just don't matter to me anymore. I am ready to pray for some one else. I am ready to pray for the man and his wife we met in the lobby at the hospital. I am ready to pray for a cure because I think it is time for this club to end.

How it started

It has been a long time but I am back! I would say that just about everyone in our lives knows what has been going on but I wanted to document it from my perspective. On March 4th Josh started complaining of a stomach ache. The next day, Monday, he could hardly get out of bed so I had to force him to go to an Urgent Care clinic. We went to the Urgent Care and after a lot of poking and prodding they decided it had to be his gallbladder and he needed an ultrasound. They wanted to wait until Wednesday to get him an ultrasound but he was in pain so I had to put my foot down and they told us we could go the next morning, Tuesday, to the American Fork Hospital to get the ultrasound. So Tuesday morning we go to the hospital and Josh gets his ultrasound. The tech was teaching some one about reading ultrasounds. She was looking at Josh's pancreas and gallbladder then asked him to lay on his side so she could get another look at his gallbladder. Then she said "let me look at your kidney while we are here." She spent a lot of time on the kidney and was pointing to the tech she was training. This is when I knew something was wrong. Josh was facing me so I didn't want to have a reaction because I knew it would make him nervous. When she was done she said it could take a day to get the results but we should call our doctor and then we can get them sooner.

We drove home and I called the doctor's office. The receptionist said to me "Actually the radiologist is on the phone with the doctor right now. Keep the phone with you and he will call you in a moment." The worry started to set in because it had to be bad for the radiologist to call that fast. The doctor called Josh and said they found a lesion on his kidney so we needed to go back to the hospital to get a CT scan and they were waiting for us at the radiology desk.

When we got to the hospital it took a little bit for them to take Josh back. I can remember now that he was googling "lesion on kidney" and I was getting mad at him. But the website he found said not to worry that it was probably nothing. They took him back and I called my sister Michelle to tell her what was going on. I didn't want to let myself get upset because it was probably nothing, a cyst at the most.

Some one came out to get me and brought me back to Josh who was in a special waiting room. This was bad. Why were they keeping us in the hospital and not letting us leave? A nurse came in and said that the doctor was about to call so we needed to answer the waiting room phone when it rang. The phone rang, Josh answered, he listened, and he started to cry. Some thing is very very wrong. He hung up the phone and started sobbing and said "it's cancer." I didn't want to be in this waiting room crying, I wanted to get him out of here. So we walked out to the car which felt like the longest walk ever. When we got in the car he just broke down in to uncontrollable sobs. I tried to hold him but it was like he needed to cry alone for a minute. I still had this feeling like, get out of here. So I started the car and drove us home.

When we got home it was like I needed to start working. We needed a urologist so I called our insurance company and they gave me a list of names. I just looked at the list and picked one. I really feel now it was divine intervention that I picked the doctor I did. I called Dr. Landau's office of the Utah Valley Urology Clinic. It was 10:30 am and they asked if we could be there at 11:00 am. I said yes and in the car we went. We got to the doctor office and filled out more paperwork and then met with Paul Rosser a nurse practitioner at the office. He immediately put us at ease with just his personality. He looked at the results of Josh's CT scan and said matter of fact "this is a very large tumor which means that it is probably cancer and you are going to need this kidney out." He wanted to have the doctor come look at it so he went and got Dr. Landau and the two of them sat down with us and told us "You have a 10 cm tumor on your 13 cm kidney. We can't save the kidney and we need to take it out." They scheduled the surgery for the following Monday.

So in the span of 2 days Josh had a stomach ache and it turned out to be cancer. Our whole world was literally flipped upside down. I have so much more to say about this experience but I will write a separate post for those : )

3 Years!

So Josh told me that I was ranting in my last blog post! Sorry : ) The other day some one said to me "I want to be a young mom so I don't want to wait until I am 26 or something old like that to have my first baby." I guess it lit a fire under me!

Any way, today is Josh and my 3rd anniversary! I told him last night that it feels like we have been together forever (not in a bad way). I really love that guy! He is so sweet to me and he is the most amazing father ever. It has been such an amazing 3 years. We have accomplished so much! Josh graduated from college, we bought our first home, we had Landon, and there are so many other things that have happened in between. I feel very lucky and blessed to have Josh as my husband. He makes me laugh all of the time. Watching him with Landon has been one of the greatest things every. I really know that he loves and cares for me. Oh, I just love that guy!! Happy anniversary Joshy! Love you tons!

No kidding, there was another gas leak in our building this morning.

That's Right......I am a Sunday School Teacher

About a month and a half ago Josh and I got a phone call asking us to come to the church building because they wanted to talk to us about a calling. We had gotten in a small argument earlier and I said something like "watch we get called to be the Marriage and Family Sunday school teachers." Well would you believe it, we were!! That is right Josh and I teach the Marriage and Family Sunday school class. I know what you are thinking - Dee a Sunday school teacher? I know I know, I thought the same thing too. I thought to myself "I am not cut out for this." I had several reasons going through my head as to why I wasn't up to par to teach this class. Well I live in Utah and I was by no means a Mormon child bride like 95% of the girls here. Hold on to your seats..... I was married at 26! Ancient! What was wrong with me? I always got the question - why aren't you married yet? Gee let me think about it - moron! Who asks questions like that?? Oh right, all of the child brides in the state of Utah. And why else am I not qualified to teach this class? Wait for it, wait for it...I had my first child at 28! Holy crap! Married at 26 and baby at 28?! What the heck is wrong with me!?

Well all of my flaws aside Josh and I take turns each Sunday teaching the lesson. We have had to cover topics like unity in marriage, and working through complications, and teach about abuse and physical intimacy. Just typing it out makes me think "I can't believe we have this calling." I hope we do ok. I hope that people don't listen to us and think "what the heck are they doing in their marriage?" Some times I think that we are teaching this more for us than any one else. There is some great information in that manual.

If you are ever in for a good laugh you should come swing by our class. Oh and yes we have 8:30 am church!

We Don't Need No Water Let this Mother Burn!

My office is in downtown Provo right across the street from the Nu Skin building. It is one of those really pretty old historic buildings but if you worked in it you would know that it is a piece of poop. The landlord is a momma's boy who literally sleeps somewhere in the basement because it is free rent. The bathrooms are always disgusting (I couldn't go in them when I was pregnant because I would literally throw up every time). It is so hot right when the seasons change and then freezing at the other end of the year. The ceiling is always leaking and our momma's boy landlord decides that we need some ugly artsy decorations instead of a functional office space.

And then there was today........ Once again we came in to the office and smelt gas. My office is in the front where that big balcony is on center street. I was sitting at my desk and I thought "wow that gas smell is really strong." So I went up front and one of the girls, Jessica, asked if I smelt gas too - well yes I do!! We decided that since we loved our families it was probably smart to call Questar and get the heck out of the building. We called them and then called the momma's boy (who of course didn't answer because he was probably fast asleep in the basement) and then we hauled on out of there. The police and fire department came.

So we waited outside hoping the building wouldn't blow up! And why?!?! Because the dumb dumbs below us left the stove on with the flame blown out all night. A.G.A.I.N. Seriously people! Don't own a restaurant if you don't know how to work a stove. Needless to say we didn't blow up today. Let's hope nothing happens tomorrow : ) Probably shouldn't have said anything in case momma's boy and the restaurant owner seriously follow my blog (bahahaha)........

I am back at it!

I decided that I didn't really like the title of my last blog, plus I didn't like my background. So instead of just figuring out how to change everything I decided it was a much better use of my time to just make a whole new blog.

Where to begin where to begin..... My son, Landon, is almost 6 months old. He is huge about 23 pounds. Massive! He even has his two bottom teeth already! He is the worst at sleeping in his crib. Drives me nuts every night! But he has the cutest face in the world so I cave every time to him. See, check it out for yourself!

Don't you just want to squeeze those cute cheeks!?!

Life is going great for us right now. I have just started my weight loss journey since having Landon. Therefore, don't expect any pictures of me for quite a while  : ) Let's see if I can figure out this time how to blog!
